I will explain the rules of Running Comprehension Game. It is a group game but can increase the competence of each individual. It can also be applied for any materials like texts, speech functions, or even grammar.
RUNNING COMPREHENSION
- Students are divided into some groups. The total members in the group is up to the teacher to decide. For example, each group consists of 4 students.
- The students in the group will have different roles.Three students as runner while one student as note-taker.
- Teacher put some papers on the wall. The paper consists of a text and questions. The text and questions should be the same for all groups.
- The runners have to run, read the text, and try to answer the question. After that, they have to run back to the note-taker and whisper to him/her the answer. The runner should run one at a time (take turn).
- The note-taker has to note down the answer the runners give to him/her.
- After finishing all the questions, the note-taker give the answers to the teacher.
- The teacher judges which group will be the winner.
