The idea of this game is whether
the students are dare enough to take the risk or just a coward for not being
dare enough to take the risk.
The game will have a box
which consists of points with a series of questions behind them. Students have
to choose the point. Higher point has difficult question and vice versa. The
risk taken is when the answer is incorrect, they will get minus point. Every
time a student hesitate to choose higher point or only chooses lower point, the
teacher can say, ‘Are you chicken?’ to tease them or make them challenge
themselves.
Rules:
- Teacher prepares many questions about grammar usage, texts, vocabulary, etc.
- Teacher can prepare a large piece of paper with box of points on it or a power point presentation.
- Each Group should choose a score to get a question to answer in 5 seconds. For example, if they choose A 20 they will get a question and should answer in 5’. Correct answer is worth 20 and wrong answer is worth – 20. Other group can ‘steal’ the points.
- The higher the score is, the more difficult the question is.
- The question can vary based on your need.
- The winner is the group with highest score.
- Please make sure certain students will not dominate the game, some other ignore the game. You can give a special mark to a student every time he/she answers. If they have answered twice, give the chance to another student.
